Delivery & Returns Policy
Estimated Delivery Times
Please note that, due to the ongoing worldwide health crisis, there may be a delay on normal postal services, therefore our standard delivery times/shipping policy do not apply. We cannot guarantee exact delivery times as this is an unprecedented event. Some areas are experiencing severe delays and deliveries can take up to 10 working days to arrive. Many thanks for your understanding during this difficult time.
Cards and wine labels are posted via Royal Mail First Class, which estimates 1-3 working days for arrival after dispatch.
Coasters and socks are posted via Royal Mail Second Class, which estimates 2-5 working days for arrival after dispatch. If you need your order to arrive sooner, please upgrade to First Class shipping at checkout.
We process and dispatch all greeting cards, wine labels and coasters within 1-2 working days, and socks within 3 working days, on receipt of payment. Please note that our print and dispatch days are Monday – Friday. Weekends and Bank Holidays are not classed as working days.
- Royal Mail First Class Estimated Delivery Time: 1-3 working days

Please note that First Class is not a next day delivery service.
Please take responsibility for ordering your cards with the timescales in mind. During busy times such as Christmas, please allow extra time for your order to arrive.
Please note we will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under the Terms that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”).

Non-Arrival
If your item has not arrived within the estimated delivery times listed above, then please send an email to remy@smudgeandsplash.com so that we can look into this for you.
Customs and import taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Smudge & Splash is not responsible for delays due to customs. We are also not responsible for any bank charges incurred by payments from your account.
Returns & Refunds
Obviously we always hope that everyone loves their items, however if you are not happy with your order, please contact us at remy@smudgeandsplash.com
To be eligible for a refund, items must be returned unused and in their original condition. They must also be in the original packaging.
Some items are exempt from being returned. These include custom or personalised goods, as well as downloadable software products.
Our returns policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery to process a return. The item then needs to be returned back to us within 21 days of delivery.
Please note that buyers are responsible for return shipping costs as we are a small, independent business.
Shipping costs are non-refundable - the shipping cost of your purchased item will be deducted from your refund. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of posting, which you can obtain from the Post Office.
You should always consider using a trackable shipping service for returns. We obviously cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item if it is not sent via a tracked postal service.
Once your return is received, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (the timescale will depend on your bank/card issuer etc).
Faulty Items
We’re so sorry if this has happened. Each item is checked before shipping, and we package our items carefully, however, very occasionally there is a possibility that items can become damaged in transit. If your order is damaged upon delivery please email remy@smudgeandsplash.com
